i want to have a career in medical coding and insurance billing without it being expensive. so i was wondering if any community colleges in the san diego area offer that class

i just want to be able to do some medical billing or answer phones at home. there are no jobs out there and i just dont get paid enough doing what im doing now. i feel its not worth being away from home for this amount of pay.

I am checking into a few online schools and Im worried that their claims maybe to good to be true. I like data entry and working from home would let me fit a second job in, but is it for real?
What is average pay for medical coder with associates degree? What is a typical day for a coder? Any other advice/suggestions helpful! Do you think the recession will hit this segment of medical field because coders are in high demand?
and if so how do you find a reputable company?
