what do MEDICAL Billing & coding people dO? i need a list of what they actually do?

i was wondering what medical billing and coders do i know they deal with collections and medical bills and all that but is that all they do? does someone knows if they do other things in the hospital and how much do they get paid???? umm if someone knows please let me know!
