I set a goal each day to contact a certain number of places....either by email, online applications, phone, in person etc. Once I have met that goal....I do things I enjoy. At this point I have been out of work looking since March 31. It is tough. Even if I get one call back, email or interview, that keeps me motivated and gives me hope. Looking for a job is a full time job and statistics show that it can take 35-40 hours a week to find a job in 6 months. (of course that depends on what you are looking for and the demand) Keep your chin up. Networking with other people is very important. Join a local club or organization to network. It can be doing something you enjoy and may give you some connections that can help you find the perfect job for you. You will be so surpised at how helpful perfect strangers can be in helping you find a job.....and you will be surprised how many people know somebody, that know's somebody, that knows.... Good luck!

I would get an internship with coding to pass the time if you're really into that. Or you could do Medical Billing in the meantime until you finish your degree. They'd love to have you. I do that for a living and they'd SOOO appreciate your skills and knowledge. And like some of the other posts have said since you're going a little stir crazy try to do some hobbies in the meantime or hang out with friends more often to pass the time. Good luck and you won't regret going into the field.

apply apply apply!
i know people that look into one job and wait, then look for another after it falls through. this wastes tons of time and takes longer to find a job than if you looked at many at once. you need to submit applications and schedule interviews as often as possible, it keeps your spirits up because if you bomb an interview or realize you don't like a place you still have plenty of other leads. the most important thing is to keep organized, you don't want to say the wrong company name or mix up anything like that.

Take an interest in another field. Learn at your leisure. You may consider a career change one day. You never know.

Good Luck . I hope it happens soon for you .

Drink heavily!!!! Just kidding. Try taking at least one day a week off from job hunting and just go fishing, walking, or whatever you enjoy doing. Then, back at job hunting the next day.
