I went to school for medical billing course. How do I start a medical billing business?

How do I get clients? How much or what is the average rate for charging doctors? I s there a government agency or organizations that could guide me through this process?

Do an online search for medical billing and look for franchise/turnkey opportunities – they are likely to provide everything you need for a share of the profits. Or you could go work for the competition for a year or two learn everything you can.

You get clients the old fashioned way. compile a list of physicians and dentists and go visit their office managers. Join community organzations that Physicians and Dentists are likely to belong to – “network”.

No business is easy to start, easy to get clients, or easy to keep profitable. But it can be very rewarding on many different levels. Good luck.

You solicit clients by doing mass mailings of professional looking flyers and brochures. The going rate is 6-14% of what you bring in for the client depending on what services you are offering- just billing? Just coding? Coding and billing? Good luck to you.
