Has any one read the written healthcare bill that Obama is trying to pass?

Is it even written yet? DOes it say what we will actually be entitled to and if it is mandatory or optional?

Most importantly, can the bill be changed after it is voted on?

They could get everyone used to Govt healthcare and then gradually change things on us.

A friend of mine tried to download it and he said the file was too big because the bill is something like a thousand pages long, but if what ronpaulforums.com says is an accurate interpretation of it, now that’s scary!

If you guys in the US end up with a healthcare system like us in the UK – YOU’RE ALL FU*KED !

In the UK we have the NHS – and a couple of private healthcare options.
Taxes are high – VERY high. Supposedly to fund such public healthcare. Doctors are paid standard wages by the state – but work long hours (or overstate hours).
Limits on costs are set – which means certain drugs are not available unless you go private.
Basically – the system works unless you get very sick – then they just push you out saying they will not pay for operations or drugs PLUS – there is long waiting lists for essential surgery – Try telling a cancer patient they have a tumour – but wait for a year before they can fit you in to operate on it !
Another thing – all these taxes get syphoned off into madcap government schemes – and suddenly – there is “not enough money in the pot for NHS improvements” – so taxes go up again promising to allocate more money – but it never happens !

At least private healthcare can re-invest it’s money – not so with government beancounters counting how many dressings are used – and cutting staff to pay for medical supplies.

Most of our hospitals are understaffed and out of date.

    Good luck.

There are two bills, neither are complete, and if they both pass, they will still have to be reconciled.

In other words, everything you hear for or against the bill is speculation compounded by stupidity, derided by the Republicans.
